To install JusticeONE Mobile on a new machine:
Prerequisites:
- Make sure all Windows updates are fully installed
- Restart the computer using "Start - Restart" (Shutdown and power back on is not sufficient in most cases).
On the computer on which Mobile is to be installed:
If you do not have administrator credentials, you will need to contact someone in your agency who has administrator access to JusticeONE. They will have to both download the installer and activate the device.
Navigate to Admin Portal - Mobile Devices. Select the "Mobile RMS Terminals" tab.
You can download JusticeOneMobileInstall*.exe
(the name may vary slightly due to versioning changes) using this screen's
[Download Mobile RMS Installer] button.
WARNING: Once you download
the installer, it is only considered viable for that day. The installer is
updated frequently with versioning changes. Please do not attempt to reuse an
older installed file later.
After completing the Mobile RMS
download, right-click and choose Properties. On the General tab, if you have the
option to “Unblock,” ensure that you check it and click [Apply], followed by [OK].
NOTE: If you do not see an option to “Unblock,” then you can move on to the next step
Right-click JusticeOneMobileInstall*.exe
and choose Run as Administrator.
If your device has User
Account Control (UAC) enabled, you may have to click [Yes] to continue.
Click [Install] on the installation
wizard to proceed. Depending on the device's hardware and speed, this process
may take several moments.
From the device where the file has
been downloaded, the user must log in to Justice-one.us with their computer
using their JusticeONE RMS credentials and then log in to Mobile RMS. The user
will receive an error message.
Once they receive the error message,
the administrator can edit the device from the list. The user’s device will
populate the field and be marked as “inactive.”
Complete the information with the red
asterisk after selecting the “edit” icon on the far right. The serial number can
be populated with the device's serial number or an assigned identification
number (if your agency uses inventory numbers).
Return to JusticeONE® Mobile RMS,
click Retry, or relaunch the app and attempt to log in again to initiate the
initial synchronization process.
NOTE: This should only
take a few minutes the first time, but may vary depending on device hardware,
connectivity speed, and the size of the agency's dataset. Larger agencies can take significantly longer to complete. Initial synchronization efforts at login will automatically download a
data pack and check for any available updates.
