When printing to a PocketJet® printer, if you experience an issue with an additional blank sheet of paper being fed out with every print job, go to step 1.
When printing to a PocketJet® printer, if you experience an issue with an additional blank sheet of paper being fed out intermittently, refer to An extra blank page comes out when printing from Windows for further assistance.
1. Before proceeding, you'll need the following:
- A Windows based computer
- A USB cable
- The printer's power supply
This method assumes you have already set up your printer to your computer and have downloaded and installed the printer drivers. If you haven't done this and need assistance, refer to Installing the driver from the web.
2. Adjust the paper settings.
a. Connect the AC adapter to the printer and the AC power cord to a nearby AC power outlet (100-240 VAC, 50-60 Hz).
- Ensure the power LED is solid green.
b. Connect the USB cable to the USB port, and the other end of the cable to the USB port in your computer.
c. Open Printing Preferences.
- If needed, click here for instructions.
d. Open Basic tab.

Confirm that the Paper Type is correct for the media being printed on. For example, if the paper is "Cut Sheet;" make sure that is select from the Paper Type drop down.
- If "Perforated Roll" is selected in the Paper Type drop down, then change the Form Feed Mode to "End of Page Retract."
e. Click Apply.
f. Click OK.
3. Restart the program you are using to print from so it recognizes the new settings.
4. Test the printer.
- Connect your PocketJet® to the device you normally print from and try printing a document as usual.
- If the document prints with no issues, your issue has been resolved.
- If an extra blank page still comes out, go to step 5.
5. Confirm the paper has been loaded correctly.
a. Remove any paper currently loaded in the machine.
b. Reload the paper.
- Paper should be loaded so that the smooth, shiny thermal side is face down.
There is a black indication square on the dull non-thermal side of the paper. This should be face up.
- If using Fanfold paper, the black mark must be face up and to the left, by the printers LEDs.
c. Using both hands to hold the paper straight, carefully insert the paper into your printer's input slot until the rollers grip it.
6. Adjust the Device Settings.
a. Connect the AC adapter to the printer and the AC power cord to a nearby AC power outlet (100-240 VAC, 50-60 Hz).
- Ensure the power LED is solid green.
b. Connect the USB cable to the USB port, and the other end of the cable to the USB port in your computer.
c. Open the "Printer Settings Tool."
7. Restart the program you are using to print from so it recognizes the new settings.
8. Test the printer.
- Connect your PocketJet® to the device you normally print from and try printing a document as usual.
- If the document prints with no issues, your issue has been resolved.
