Sealing a Case in JusticeONE

Sealing a Case in JusticeONE

How to Seal a Case in JusticeONE RMS

Sealing a case in JusticeONE RMS is a simple way to restrict its visibility and sharing without removing it from the system. Follow the steps below to seal a case from the Case View.

Steps to Seal a Case

  1. Log into JusticeONE
Enter your credentials to access the system.

  2. Navigate to the Case View
From the main dashboard, open the Case View. Be sure you're in the Case View rather than the Incident View, as sealing options are only available from the Case View.

  1. Select "Sealed" from the Case Exposure Dropdown
On the Case Dashboard, locate the Case Exposure dropdown menu.
Click the dropdown and select Sealed.

  2. Understand the Impact of Sealing a Case
Once a case is marked as Sealed:

• All print and sharing options are automatically disabled.

    • The case remains visible within the system for users with appropriate permissions, but it cannot be shared or exporte

Note: Sealing a case limits external exposure but does not apply detailed access restrictions.

For Additional Security

If you need to restrict access to a specific record or section of a record more granularly, we recommend using Lock Groups. Lock Groups offer user-based access control and are covered in a separate article.
