Why do I get a GECPS 2884 Error: Conviction on file for this FTA
When a Failure to Appear is transmitted to GA DDS, and then a UTC submission is sent for the same ticket, DDS assumes that the FTA is remedied and automatically withdraws the FTA.
If the agency then attempts to submit a WFTA, they will receive the 2884 error, since there is no longer an FTA to withdraw.
If the agency wishes to submit a WFTA, it should be transmitted PRIOR to the UTC / Conviction transmission.
