Adding a Warrant, not associated to a case.

1.       From the “Stack” icon in the top right corner, choose Warrants.

2.      Click the “Add Warrant” button.

 

3.      Complete the information for your Warrant.  This is used when you are typing a warrant without an existing charge.

4.      You will move through the initial screen completing information, then move through each tab to the left of the screen above completing information abour the persons, affidavit, notes, and media.

Adding a Warrant, associated to a case.

1.       Select your case from the Case Grid

2.      From the left-hand navigation inside the case, click on Warrants, then “Add New”.

3.      Information from the case will prefill including the following:

a.      Case Number

b.     Status

c.      Officer

d.     Request Date

e.     Defendant Information (left tab)

                                                                          i.      If other persons have been entered previously such as a Victim or Witness those will also pre-fill to the Warrant.

4.      Next complete all remaining warrant information necessary to issue the warrant including

a.      Warrant Number

b.     Warrant Type

c.      Incident/Charge Number

d.     Affiant

e.     Violation

f.       Prosecuting Witness

g.      Judge

h.     Prosecutor

i.        Entered in GCIC

j.        NIC#

k.      All persons information

l.        Affidavit

m.   Notes (These do not print on the Warrant

n.     Media

5.      Click “Save & Close” once you have entered all information.

6.      Your Warrant now appears in the Warrant List.

a.      From here you can edit, print or delete

Once the Warrant has been issued, you can edit to update the date.  This will change the Status to “Issued”. 

You also have the ability to record dates and times for:  Served, Recalled and Denied.
