Once the property is entered into a report as evidence, the officer must go into the RMS and select the property section of the incident. The items that need to be placed into evidence must be “dropped.”

*Evidence cannot be “dropped” from Mobile RMS. This is to prevent breaking the chain of custody in the event the voucher is printed early, and the evidence does not make it to the drop off location. For example, the officer is in a serious incident or an accident prior to arrival.
