Common Submission Errors

       Cargo Theft must be populated with Yes or No for certain offenses, including Bribery,
          Burglary, Embezzlement, Fraud, Robbery, and Theft.
       Value of Property cannot be zero except for Credit/Debit Cards, Identity Documents,
            Identity-Intangible, Nonnegotiable Instrument, or Documents - Personal or Business.
       Estimated Drug Quantity and Type of Drug Measurement must be entered when the
            Property Loss is “Seized” and a Suspected Drug Type is entered.
       Relationship of Victim to Offender must be entered when an Offender is known; if the
            Offender is Unknown, the relationship must be “Relationship Unknown”.
       The Domestic Violence indicator is required on all Crimes Against Person and Crimes Against Property.

Note: Errors may prevent an incident from being included in the FBI or state NIBRS databases; warnings should be reviewed and corrected if necessary.
